Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup walnuts (optional)
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a muffin tin or line it with paper liners.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  3. Melt the butter in a small saucepan or microwave, then mix it with sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. Stir in the mashed bananas.
  5. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
  6. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing gently until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts (if using).
  8. Fill muffin cups about 3/4 full with the batter.
  9. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Let the muffins cool before transferring them to a wire rack.
