- 2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated into the dough.
- Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl. Gradually blend the dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined; don’t overmix!
- Fold in the chocolate chips with a gentle hand, allowing them to mingle deliciously with the dough.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart to allow for spreading.
- Bake for 9-11 minutes or until the edges are golden brown but the centers remain soft and gooey.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
For extra flavor, fold in nuts or dried fruits, or try swapping half the chocolate chips for white chocolate chips.
