Description

A comforting casserole that combines hearty biscuits and rich sausage gravy, perfect for brunch or a cozy breakfast.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups biscuit mix
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage
  • 2 cups shredded cheese
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups sausage gravy (store-bought or homemade)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine the biscuit mix and milk in a mixing bowl until just combined.
  3. Cook the breakfast sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned.
  4. Layer the biscuit mixture, cooked sausage, and half of the cheese in a baking dish.
  5. Beat the eggs and mix them with the sausage gravy, then pour this over the biscuit layer.
  6. Top with the remaining cheese.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and set.
  8. Let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

You can prepare this casserole the night before. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
