Description

A comforting Chicken Chow Mein recipe with tender chicken and crisp vegetables, ready in just 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 chicken breasts, sliced
  • 2 cups chow mein noodles
  • 1 cup bean sprouts
  • 1 cup bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 cup carrots, julienned
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 green onions, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the chow mein noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large pan or wok, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add sliced chicken and stir-fry until cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add garlic and onion, and stir-fry for 2 minutes. Add bell peppers and carrots, stir-frying until just tender.
  4. Mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch in a small bowl. Add the cooked chicken and bean sprouts to the pan, then pour the sauce over the mixture. Stir well until everything is coated and heated through.
  5. Add the cooked noodles, tossing everything together until combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.
