- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup chocolate fudge sauce
- 1 tub (8 ounces) whipped topping
- 1/2 cup chocolate shavings or sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven according to the cake mix instructions. Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Combine the chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs in a large bowl. Mix until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake according to package instructions.
- Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool for about 15 minutes.
- Poke holes all over the top of the cake using a large fork.
- Mix together the sweetened condensed milk and chocolate fudge sauce in a medium bowl.
- Pour the mixture evenly over the cake, filling the holes with fudge filling.
- Refrigerate the cake for at least 2 hours to let flavors meld.
- Spread the whipped topping generously on top before serving.
- Garnish with chocolate shavings or sprinkles if desired.
