Description

A rich and gooey Chocolate Poke Cake with creamy fudge filling and fluffy whipped topping, perfect for cozy gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup chocolate fudge sauce
  • 1 tub (8 ounces) whipped topping
  • 1/2 cup chocolate shavings or sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven according to the cake mix instructions. Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Combine the chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs in a large bowl. Mix until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake according to package instructions.
  4. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool for about 15 minutes.
  5. Poke holes all over the top of the cake using a large fork.
  6. Mix together the sweetened condensed milk and chocolate fudge sauce in a medium bowl.
  7. Pour the mixture evenly over the cake, filling the holes with fudge filling.
  8. Refrigerate the cake for at least 2 hours to let flavors meld.
  9. Spread the whipped topping generously on top before serving.
  10. Garnish with chocolate shavings or sprinkles if desired.
