A comforting and nostalgic dish, perfect for family dinners and meal prep. This classic meatloaf is tender and flavorful, draped in rich brown gravy.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 cup brown gravy

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the ground beef, bread crumbs, chopped onion, milk, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and thyme in a large bowl until well combined.
  3. Shape the meat mixture into a loaf form and place it in a baking dish.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).
  5. Prepare the brown gravy according to package instructions or your favorite homemade recipe.
  6. Let the meatloaf rest for a few minutes before slicing and serve with the brown gravy.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute ground turkey for ground beef. Prepare the meatloaf mixture a day in advance to save time.
