Description

A warm, comforting bowl of creamy vanilla porridge topped with tender brown sugar apples, perfect for crisp fall mornings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup porridge oats
  • 2 tbsp Chia Bia Gut Health
  • 2 cups milk of choice
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1–2 tsp maple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1–2 tsp butter of choice
  • 1–2 apples, diced (sweet varieties like Honeycrisp or Fuji)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • Splash of water

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine the porridge oats, milk, vanilla extract, maple syrup, and a pinch of salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens to a creamy consistency.
  2. In another pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the diced apples, cinnamon, and brown sugar. Let this mixture cook until the apples become tender, adding a splash of water if needed to help soften them further.
  3. Once your porridge is ready and the apples are beautifully caramelized, serve the porridge in bowls and generously top it with the sautรฉed apples. Enjoy the warmth!

Notes

Make-ahead by preparing the porridge the night before and reheating. Feel free to customize with different fruits or dairy alternatives.
