Description

Delightful Ham and Cheese Pinwheels wrapped in flaky puff pastry, perfect for snacks or appetizers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 6 slices deli ham
  • 4 oz cheese (e.g., cheddar or mozzarella), shredded
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Optional: seasonings (e.g., pepper, garlic powder)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface, creating a rectangle.
  3. Spread the softened cream cheese evenly over the rolled-out pastry, ensuring good coverage.
  4. Layer the deli ham slices and shredded cheese evenly on top of the cream cheese.
  5. Roll the pastry tightly into a log, starting from one end and working your way to the other.
  6. Cut the rolled pastry into 1-inch slices and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and flaky.
  9. Serve hot or cold as a delightful snack or appetizer.

Notes

Prepare pinwheels in advance and store in the fridge for a couple of hours before baking. Leftover pinwheels can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
