Description

A cozy dessert that melts hearts with its warm, gooey chocolate center.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • A pinch of salt
  • Optional: whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease four ramekins with butter and dust with cocoa powder for easy release.
  2. Combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and unsalted butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and melted.
  3. Whisk in the powdered sugar until well combined.
  4. Add in the eggs and egg yolks, whisking together until everything is nicely incorporated. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Fold in the flour and a pinch of salt until just combined.
  6. Evenly distribute the batter among the prepared ramekins, filling them about three-quarters full.
  7. Bake for 12-14 minutes until the edges are firm but the center is still soft.
  8. Cool for just 1 minute before carefully flipping onto a plate. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

You can prepare the batter in advance and refrigerate it; just bake it fresh when ready.
