- 4 large peaches, sliced
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup apple juice
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the brown sugar, apple juice, and cinnamon, stirring until the sugar is dissolved.
- Pour the caramel into a round cake pan and arrange the peach slices over it.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine the milk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Pour the batter over the peach slices in the cake pan.
- Bake for about 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let it cool for a few minutes, then invert onto a serving plate. Enjoy your caramelized dessert!
